As Fort Wayne City Councilman Geoff Paddock said in his op-ed column printed in the Journal Gazette on Sunday, November 17 2013, “This project has strong bipartisan support.  Mayor Tom Henry and County Commissioners Linda Bloom, Therese Brown, and Nelson Peters, have been working with me to secure support from Governor Mike Pence and other state and federal officials to invest in such a passenger rail system.”

There are 24 hours left until Fort Wayne City Council must deliberate the future of passenger rail linking Fort Wayne to Chicago, Columbus, and other cities across our region.

It is important for you to make your voice heard–and there is still time!  We are urging all rail supporters to thank their City Council Members for past and future support for passenger rail!  Fort Wayne City Council members can be contacted through Legislative Affairs Administrator Molly McCray at  .

Don’t forget to thank Allen County Commissioners Nelson Peters, Linda Bloom, and Therese Brown for their significant support for the Feasibility Study and Business Plan that have made the case for a successful rail system!  You can contact them through Executive Assistant Chris Cloud at .  And no list of thank-you’s would be complete without appreciation for the efforts of Mayor Henry [ ] and his Administration to prioritize passenger rail planning and to provide the leadership to keep the effort moving forward!

Your message need not be detailed, but it should focus on why passenger rail would make a difference in your life!  Be concise, be personal, but above all–be positive!  Fort Wayne is preparing to take a big step into the future!
