The United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) is the official non-partisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are 1,296 such cities in the country today. Each city is represented in the Conference by its Mayor.  The significant jobs and economic development impacts to cities of high speed rail have been highlighted in a report of success stories from four cities,  including Chicago.  We will continue to follow the progress in cities that offer examples for our Chicago – Columbus corridor — check back regularly for updates.
